Car Care Company (CCC) Customer e-Commerce Project (4C’s Project)

Simeon Treedell , Founder and Owner

·       Loyal customer base and lots of business, three locations, five miles apart.

·       Existing computer system with Access database to support car repair and billing functions.

 

Project Objective:

Simeon asks you to assist him in extending his computer system with a web site or mobile service for his customers.

1.   Propose what the web site or mobile service should do – to provide value to CCC customers.

2.   Describe the major benefits his customers will perceive.

3.   Estimate costs, time, resources, benefits to CCC, issues, and ongoing support required.

 

Deliverables:

1.   Write a business memo to Simeon proposing he fund the project to develop the web site or mobile service, beginning with an Executive Summary.

2.   Analyze Critical Success Factors and Customer Needs for CCC and prepare a CSF-CN Plot.

3.   Decide on at least one specific capability to provide for customers in your web site or mobile service.

4.   Estimate costs, time, resources, benefits to CCC, issues, and ongoing support required.

5.   Design a database to include all of the data fields you have determined necessary.

6.   Develop a prototype of the web site, and “deploy” it on the MISUG server.  The TA will provide MISUG access for any students who are not IDSc majors.
