At University of Minnesota, I teach an undergraduate course on information technology (IT) Infrastructure in the Spring semester. The course covers the fundamental concepts of IT infrastructure and infrastructure planning and management. Topics include the organizing principles of an adaptive infrastructure; IT infrastructure planning, IT infrastructure management, IT infrastructure technologies, including networking and telecommunications, storage, operating systems, and servers; the concepts of services, web-services and the design principles of service oriented architecture (SOA). I have also taught an undergrad course on web-based application development using Microsoft ASP.NET. The course covered basics of web forms, events, controls, database connections, web services, and security provisions. In 2007, I received the PhD Student Teaching Award. |
