I believe that academic research should be rigorous and theory driven as well as be relevant to practice.  I have provided downloadable pdf files for most papers on this page.

Research Interests

I believe that the central role of information technologies is their ability to enable the creation and exploitation of knowledge based capabilities. The basic question motivating my research is how do firms achieve higher (differential) performance through information technologies?

My research comprises two broad themes:

·         The examination of dominant contingencies influencing the link between information technology investments and firm performance.

·         The role of information technologies in creating and leveraging intangible assets
